Realdania, a Danish philanthropic association with a 10.07% ownership stake in Danske Bank A/S has participated on a pro rata basis in Danske Banks EUR 2.687m capital increase.
In March 2011 Danske Bank announced a rights issue of EUR 2.687m in order to bring the shareholders’ equity to a level which the Bank’s management considered prudent in view of forthcoming international regulation with regard to new capital requirements. Danske Bank had also begun discussions with the Danish government to be allowed to prepay in full the DKK 24 billion loan in the form of hybrid capital received by it in May 2009. Danske Bank asked the two largest shareholders, A. P. Møller – Mærsk and Realdania for their support ahead of launching the transaction.
FIH PARTNERS acted as financial advisor to Realdania in connection with their decision to support and participate pro rata in the capital increase.
